Transport Policy
At Von Gonzalez Kennels, we understand that some families may not be local to Quartz Hill, Sylmar, or the surrounding California areas. For approved families, we may help discuss safe puppy travel options when pickup in person is not possible. Transport is handled with the puppy’s comfort, safety, age, health, and timing in mind.
Pickup Is Preferred When Possible
Whenever possible, we prefer families to pick up their puppy in person. This allows the buyer to meet us, receive basic transition guidance, and take the puppy home directly. In person pickup also helps reduce travel stress for the puppy and gives the family a chance to ask final questions before going home.
Travel Options for Approved Families
If a buyer cannot pick up the puppy in person, Von Gonzalez Kennels may help discuss available travel options. These options may include ground transport, flight nanny service, or another approved method depending on location, timing, weather, puppy age, and availability. Travel arrangements are not guaranteed until they are confirmed in writing.
Buyer Responsibility for Transport Costs
All transport, delivery, or travel related costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless a different written agreement is made. These costs may include transportation fees, flight nanny fees, crate or carrier requirements, fuel, airport handling, or other travel related expenses. Transport fees are separate from the puppy price unless clearly stated otherwise.
Puppy Safety Comes First
Von Gonzalez Kennels reserves the right to delay or decline travel if we believe it is not safe for the puppy. Weather, age, health, distance, stress level, or travel conditions may affect when and how a puppy can travel. The puppy’s safety and well being will always come before convenience or scheduling pressure.
Travel Timing
Puppies may only travel when they are old enough, ready, and approved to leave our care. Travel timing depends on the puppy’s development, health, schedule, and the agreed method of transport. Buyers should remain flexible and responsive while travel plans are being arranged.
Third Party Transport
If a third party transporter or flight nanny is used, the buyer understands that Von Gonzalez Kennels is not responsible for delays, route changes, weather issues, airline policies, or transporter scheduling once the puppy is released to the approved transport provider. We will do our best to work with trusted options, but transport companies operate independently.
Communication During Transport
Buyers are responsible for staying available by phone, email, or text during the pickup and travel process. Any delay in communication may affect pickup timing, delivery, or transfer details. Accurate contact information must be provided before travel is confirmed.
Agreement to This Policy
By choosing transport or delivery for a puppy from Von Gonzalez Kennels, the buyer confirms that they understand and agree to this Transport Policy. All travel arrangements must be approved and confirmed before the puppy leaves our care.
