Deposit Policy
At Von Gonzalez Kennels, deposits are used to reserve a specific puppy or hold a place for an upcoming litter of Long Coat German Shepherds or German Rottweilers. A deposit shows serious interest and allows us to pause other inquiries for that puppy or reservation spot while we continue the process with the approved family.
Purpose of the Deposit
The deposit helps secure your place in the reservation process. Once a deposit is received and confirmed by Von Gonzalez Kennels, the puppy may be marked as reserved, or your position may be held for a planned litter. Deposits are part of the final puppy price and will be applied toward the remaining balance.
Non Refundable Deposit
All deposits are non refundable unless Von Gonzalez Kennels is unable to provide a puppy as agreed. If a buyer changes their mind, becomes unresponsive, delays pickup without approval, or decides not to move forward for personal reasons, the deposit may be forfeited. This is because reserving a puppy requires time, communication, planning, and turning away other potential families.
Final Balance
The remaining balance must be paid in full before the puppy leaves our care. No puppy will be released until payment is complete and all pickup, delivery, or travel arrangements have been confirmed. Any special payment arrangement must be approved by Von Gonzalez Kennels in writing before the puppy goes home.
Transfer to Another Puppy or Litter
In some situations, Von Gonzalez Kennels may allow a deposit to be transferred to another puppy or future litter. This is handled at our discretion and depends on availability, timing, communication, and whether the new puppy is a good fit for the family. A transfer is not guaranteed.
Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for staying in communication after placing a deposit. Once the puppy is ready, pickup or approved travel should be arranged in a timely manner. If a buyer does not respond or causes extended delays without approval, Von Gonzalez Kennels may cancel the reservation and the deposit may be forfeited.
Right to Decline Placement
Von Gonzalez Kennels reserves the right to decline a placement if we believe the puppy is not the right fit for the home, lifestyle, or situation. Our goal is to place each puppy in a safe, prepared, and responsible home.
Agreement to This Policy
By placing a deposit with Von Gonzalez Kennels, the buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Deposit Policy. A puppy is not officially reserved until the deposit has been received and confirmed by Von Gonzalez Kennels.
