Puppy Health Policy

Puppy Health Policy

At Von Gonzalez Kennels, we care about the health, comfort, and proper transition of every puppy before they leave our care. This Puppy Health Policy explains our general health expectations, buyer responsibilities, and recommended steps after bringing home a Long Coat German Shepherd or German Rottweiler puppy.

No Health Guarantee

Von Gonzalez Kennels does not currently offer a formal health guarantee. Any information provided on this website, by phone, by message, or during communication is for general guidance only and should not be understood as a written health guarantee unless a separate signed agreement is provided by Von Gonzalez Kennels.

Veterinary Exam Recommendation

We strongly recommend that every buyer schedule a veterinary wellness exam shortly after bringing their puppy home. A licensed veterinarian can evaluate the puppy’s overall condition, review vaccination needs, discuss parasite prevention, and help establish a proper care plan. This exam is an important step in helping the puppy transition safely into the new home.

Buyer Responsibility After Pickup

Once the puppy leaves our care, the buyer is responsible for proper feeding, hydration, housing, exercise, grooming, training, veterinary care, vaccination follow up, parasite prevention, and general safety. Puppies are young animals and require patience, structure, supervision, and consistent care during the adjustment period.

Transition and Stress

A puppy may experience stress when moving to a new home. Changes in food, water, environment, routine, travel, sleep, and handling can affect appetite, stool, energy, or behavior for a short time. Buyers should monitor their puppy closely and contact a veterinarian if they notice concerning symptoms or if the puppy does not seem to adjust normally.

Feeding and Care Guidance

Von Gonzalez Kennels may provide general feeding and transition guidance before the puppy goes home. Buyers should follow the recommended feeding routine at first and make changes slowly if they decide to switch food. Sudden diet changes may cause stomach upset or digestive issues.

Health Concerns

If a buyer has any health concern after pickup, they should contact a licensed veterinarian as soon as possible. Von Gonzalez Kennels may offer general support and guidance, but veterinary diagnosis, treatment, and medical decisions must come from a licensed veterinarian.

No Veterinary Advice

Information provided by Von Gonzalez Kennels is based on breeder experience and general puppy care knowledge. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Buyers should always follow the guidance of their veterinarian for medical concerns, vaccination schedules, medications, emergencies, and long term health care.

Agreement to This Policy

By purchasing or reserving a puppy from Von Gonzalez Kennels, the buyer confirms that they understand this Puppy Health Policy. The buyer also understands that they are responsible for veterinary care, proper home care, and the long term well being of the puppy after pickup or delivery.
